Reopening Plan

1. BRINGING BELONGINGS FROM HOME

A. Participants’ Belongings

Participants entering the program for in-person services should limit their personal belongings to only the necessities for the day. These items should include: 

Lunch/snacks, preferably sent in a disposable paper lunch bag, must be pre-prepared to texture in accordance with physician’s diet recommendations, as we are not able to process/ alter textures of diets at program during this time

● Seasonal Outerwear (coats, hats, etc.)

● Backpack or purse

→ Backpacks should include an extra mask, a clean change of clothing, any necessary personal hygiene items, communication devices, and any other important necessities.

→ Items brought from home cannot be shared with others.

→ Participants will be provided a place to store their belongings so that they do not touch others’ belongings (e.g., coat rack with extra spaces between hooks, plastic totes with a lid, lockers, etc.). At the end of each day, storage spaces for personal belongings will be sanitized and ready for use again the next day.

B. Staff Belongings

Staff should limit the number of personal belongings they bring with them into the program and will be provided a place to store their belongings so that they do not touch others’ belongings (e.g., coat rack with extra spaces between hooks, plastic totes with a lid, lockers, etc.). Staff should consider bringing an extra set of clothes with them in case changing clothes is recommended for infection control purposes..

At the end of each day, storage spaces for personal belongings will be sanitized and ready for use again the next day. Staff should practice hand hygiene before and after handling their personal belongings during their shift, (including cell phones, keys, wallet, etc.)
